Bob Amirian founded Amparo Law Firm to bring federal-court legal craft to New York plaintiff’s practice. After law school, he clerked for Chief Judge Sharon Prost on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit — a court whose docket spans patent appeals, government contracts, federal procurement, veterans benefits, and trade. Federal appellate clerkships are widely regarded as among the most demanding apprenticeships in the U.S. legal system; the Federal Circuit’s docket requires fluency in federal procedural rules, statutory interpretation, and the discipline of writing for a court that does not tolerate sloppy briefs.

From the Federal Circuit, Bob joined Venable LLP, an AmLaw 100 firm with a large corporate, regulatory, and litigation practice. Venable’s institutional client roster exposed Bob to the kind of multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation, regulatory work, and complex defense strategy that the institutional defense bar deploys in cases of this magnitude. That defense-side experience is now an asset on the plaintiff’s side: knowing how large-firm litigators build motions to dismiss, structure discovery, and stage settlement leverage is part of how a plaintiff’s firm builds a case that does not get tripped up at the threshold pleading stage — particularly under the heightened standards of the PSLRA and the Delaware Court of Chancery’s procedural framework.
