This Privacy Policy describes how Amparo Law Firm PLLC (“Amparo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information through the website amparoinvestorrights.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by Amparo Law Firm PLLC and serves as the public-facing presence of our investor rights practice.

By using the Site, submitting a form on the Site, or communicating with the firm through the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is not legal advice and does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is created only by execution of a written engagement agreement.

Information you provide to us

We collect information you submit through forms on the Site, including:

  • Investor information: investor type (individual/family office/institution), holding details, brokerage statements you choose to upload, position sizes you describe in form fields

Your choices

Email communications

You can unsubscribe from firm communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing privacy@amparolawfirm.com.

Cookies

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. The Site is functional without cookies, although some features (form auto-fill, language preferences) may require cookies to function correctly.

Account information

If you have provided information through the Site, you may request a copy, correction, or deletion of that information by emailing privacy@amparolawfirm.com. Note that ethical and statutory record-keeping obligations may require us to retain certain information about clients and former clients for a period of time even after a deletion request.

State-specific rights

California (CCPA / CPRA)

Residents of California have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:

  • Right to know: what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
  • Right to delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected (subject to ethical and statutory exceptions)
  • Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out: of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Right to limit: the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information
  • Right to non-discrimination: for exercising any of these rights

To exercise these rights, email privacy@amparolawfirm.com with the request. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.

Other states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others as enacted) have analogous rights. To exercise rights under your state’s law, email privacy@amparolawfirm.com.

Data security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration, and disclosure. Our security practices include:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Encryption of brokerage statement uploads at rest
  • Access controls limiting personal information access to authorized firm personnel
  • Regular review of vendor security practices
  • Ongoing security training for firm personnel

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that personal information will never be accessed, used, or disclosed inconsistent with this Policy.

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to ethical and statutory record-keeping obligations applicable to law firms (which generally require retention of client records for a period of years following matter closure).

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please email privacy@amparolawfirm.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted in a notice on the Site or by direct communication to enrolled clients.
